This is the RoboComp’s Frequently Asked Questions list for GSoD’19. New questions will be added. Please, take a look before asking.

I am interested in participating in RoboComp as a GSoD’19 Tech Writter. What should I do?

We encourage you to install follow the RoboComp tutorials and familiarise with the framework. This will help you understand how to create and use components. It will also help you get an overall idea of how the framework works.

I want to apply to GSoD’19/RoboComp. Which are the deadlines?

The following is a list of the deadlines that are relevant to participate in GSoD. However, the ultimate source of information in terms of deadlines will always be the Google Season of Docs website:

  • April 30 - May 28, 2019: Technical writer exploration
  • June 28, 2019 at 18:00 UTC: Deadline for technical writer applications.
  • July 30, 2019 at 18:00 UTC: Google announces the accepted technical writer projects.

I have followed all the RoboComp tutorials. What should I do next?

If you have followed all the tutorials, it is time to get in contact with the mentors.
